For parents-to-be who want so much more than just buying their friends.”

The Bump to Baby Chapter offers antenatal classes for pregnant mums wanting to have a calm and empowering experience throughout and beyond their pregnancy. The classes run across 4 evenings and are taught by experienced midwives.

What is covered in the classes?

The antenatal classes in Cirencester cover everything from when to go into hospital to what happens when you go home with your baby, from hypnobirthing to epidurals, breastfeeding to bottle feeding, water births to caesarean and so much more. Qualified first-hand advice on invaluable and fundamental information that all parents need, including things to help when birth doesn’t go according to Plan A.

Where are the classes held?

The classes will be running at contemporary independent restaurant Sam and Jaks. The classes are already a mass success in Cheltenham and Gloucester with course graduates raving about their positive birth experiences and crediting them to the empowering knowledge learned within the sessions.

Why choose The Bump to Baby Chapter?

The Bump to Baby Chapter is the brainchild of Beth Kitt who is a Midwife, mother of four and who works on the frontline supporting women, birthing people and their families in labour, birth and the immediate post-natal time in her local NHS hospital. Since launching in 2016 The Bump to Baby Chapter has supported hundreds of expectant parents to feel calm, confident and prepared for the arrival of their baby.

The Bump to Baby Chapter has also been hailed “Best Pregnancy Awards Service in Gloucestershire” at the Gloucestershire Family Awards and our online courses have been nominated for awards at The Mother&Baby Awards 2024 and WON silver in the Made for Mum Awards 2024.

And don’t just take it from us, here’s what our new parents say…

“Beth did an amazing job of teaching us everything from feeding, changing nappies,
preparing for baby’s arrival, packing your hospital bag and what to expect from early
signs of labour all the way through to giving birth in every form from a water birth to a
c-section. We felt really prepared after the classes especially my husband who
hadn’t spent a lot of time around newborns. We also really enjoyed meeting other
couples with babies due the same time as our own. We would highly recommend the
course. Parenthood is fab and has been made all the easier by what we were taught!”

-Rachel and Laurie

“I’d heard amazing things about The Bump to Baby Chapter’s courses and decided to enrol
onto the in-person classes in Cheltenham. I wanted to do TBTBC over NCT because it
seemed much more friendly, wholesome, inclusive, less scripted and, moreover, offered a
more experienced and well-rounded teachings.
We left full to the brim with birth knowledge. Our course leader/midwife, was incredible.
Like Beth, she was the oracle of all knowledge and kept everything so fun and interactive.
There’s no pretence here, you get exactly what you see on the tin (and a LOT more). Best
money we spent.”

-Cesca Eddershaw-May

“As first-time parents-to-be my husband and I were a bit apprehensive about
attending antenatal classes as, if I’m being honest, we thought they might be a bit
stuffy and like being back at school!.. We really enjoyed our sessions with
Beth, from both a practical and social perspective. As a midwife and mother Beth
really knows her stuff so the sessions were informative, insightful, yet relaxed and
fun and we immediately felt at ease. Beth covered all aspects of labour and birth
(and all that’s in between) through to being home with the little one and the early
days of feeding and caring for them in a positive and non-judgmental way. By the
end of the course, we felt prepared and supported and we had the added benefit of
having met a lovely group of couples whose babies were due around the same time
as ours who we have remained in regular contact with and meet up with from time to
time now that the little ones have arrived. I honestly can’t recommend these classes
enough and feel that these were definitely one of the best investments we made
when preparing for our new arrival!”
